From $1.7 billion in 2016, influencer marketing is estimated to have grown to have a market size of $9.7 billion in 2020 and is expected to reach $13.8 billion in 2021, according to Influencer MarketingHub. The fashion and beauty industry has become so lucrative, top influencers have become celebrities in their own right. Last year Cosmetify rolled out its first Beauty Influencer Rich List to gauge just how much some of the biggest names in beauty could be earning from their social channels. This year the list of the top 100 earners has been updated to include TikTok, which has exploded in the past 12 months.
Despite having the most combined followers over the three platforms, James Charles has been knocked out of the top spot as the world's richest beauty influencer. Huda Kattan of Huda Beauty has taken the number-one spot with the highest estimated earnings: $3,000 per TikTok video, $3,887 per YouTube video, and $158,515 per Instagram post, for a combined total of $165,402.
